Training
To learn to fly you must be 15+ years old and standard medical fitness required for a car drivers licence. About 20 - 30 hours of instruction is required for a Recreational Aviation Australia ( RAAus ) Pilot Licence. Club encourages pilot to take the RAAus training syllabus at their own pace. We recommend you train weekly or at least every two weeks. If you are a curent glider pilot with a ''C'' rating or PPL or higher licence, you may qualify for a Recreational pilot Licence in 5 hours.

Flying costs *
Training in our Jabiru J230 $ 165 per air switch hour
Renmark club membership $ 60 per year
RAAus student membership $ 160 per year
Member hire and fly wet $ 147 per air switch hour
Glider hire $ 36 per hour
*GST not applicable. Prices may change without notice
When hiring the J230, please leave it as you would want to find it. ie. reasonably clean and with at least 50% fuel or more. For insurance reasons you should have flown within the last 6 weeks. If not talk to Garry, Tim or Dave.
